Adolfo's course was engaging and inspiring. He encouraged the exploration of a wide range of tools and sources of inspiration. The fundamental idea of the course is to experiment without fear.

In this exercise, I studied a painting by Edgar Degas, a French Impressionist artist most famous for his pastel drawings and oil paintings. The task was to replicate the painting using a variety of tools.

Here's why I took the course:

Structured Yet Free-Flowing Approach

  • Unlike courses focusing solely on skill development, Adolfo Serra's course blends technique with a philosophical approach. He provides a structured path for exploration but encourages you to go off the beaten path, experiment, and make discoveries independently.

Inspiration from a Seasoned Illustrator

  • Adolfo Serra is known for his imaginative, playful illustrations that often resemble a journey into the subconscious. His expertise and passion for illustration are evident in every lesson. Serra's teaching style is warm and approachable, making complex techniques feel accessible.

Unlock Creativity in Unexpected Ways

  • The course uses unconventional techniques and mindsets to break traditional artists' block. It isn't about producing picture-perfect illustrations but diving into your creative potential and developing a unique artistic vision.
